And if… education was our major asset! The need to keep in shape all our life long is becoming obvious . But the world is moving too fast to think our Greek education model will adapt itself naturally to future realities. To reinvent all our Education systems and processes has to be a priority task. Optimization will be not the key to reach that kind of major transformation, but leadership will.

To reinvent Education

Let’s leading melting pot for future learning and teaching innovations, crossroads dedicated on thinking out of the box, places to be for new, attractive and efficient knowledge organisation (instead of accumulation) through permanent contextualization, fluid navigation, and deep meanings.

Three main Education Challenges for today and tomorrow:

–      Reaching the full life spectrum: no one day without learning, from kids to adults.

–      Redefining the fragmentation of contents: transdisciplinary is the answer to complexity.

–      Rebuilding the way to share and integrate evolving knowledge: experience = presence.

New players vs. old schools: risk or opportunities?

  • The digitalization: from benefits to boundaries.
  • The access: from market needs to costs growth.
  • The globalization: from standardization to customization.

Decision makers: who’s in charge?

  • Individuals (young, adult)
  • Parents, grand parents
  • Corporation Groups, Small Size Companies
  • Governements, Officials
  • Churches, private sector
  • International Institutions (UNESCO,…), NGO

Looking for best new practices around the world:

–      Why so few changes did appeared in the way of teaching since Plato and Confucius: what happened to the innovators?

–     New ambitions: learning how to learn, how to accumulate and organize the wide open knowledge coming from the Net?

–     Which future skills to develop first? Acting responsible, staying open minded, understanding otherness?

–     Where are the priorities? Toward meritocracy or access egality to the best know how?

–      What is the real value and use of Rankings (Shanghai, FT,…)?
